How to find the percentage of octane in gasoline?

I'm doing a science project on combustion of different grades of gasoline, but can't seem to find anything on what percent of it is octane. I found one site, but it was contradicting saying (for example) 87 gas was 87% octane, but then says that the 87 is a compression rating. Anyone know how to find the percent of octane in a fuel?
