Was Undertaker-Triple H suppose to end in a Hells gates from Undertaker?

Or did Triple H and Undertaker decide to shorten it up because the Undertaker was too fatigued? I know that of course the Undertaker was suppose to win.... but in that way? I thought that it was going to end with a Tombstone o Triple H.... I don't recall face Triple H EVER tapping out
