Runescape question.....?

ok im a lvl 54 ranger....65 ranged 41 def and 34 magic are my main skills.....im a member and am starting to do duel tournaments...i max hit 19 with rune c'bow and broad bolts...but i am most likely gonna go up against melee people in the duel place..so what armour should i wear? d'hide? rune? what??
