In the state of Texas does a person have a right to back out of a contract within 72 hours?

I purchased a car from DriveTime and in one day the vehicle check engine light came on and the car is driving terribly. I believe there is a law that allows a person to cancel a contract within 72 hours the sales man says that that law only works if they came to me and solicited me at my home.
